I’ll be straight up, Sandown is not my favourite race track to shoot. Access is limited making it difficult to come up with new and interesting angles to shoot there. So when I got there for this years opening round of the Shannons Nationals I challenged myself to come up with different.

While I’m often doing back to back race meetings these days. It’s really unusual to do two race meetings within a week at the same venue. With the Shannons Nationals running the weekend after the Virgin Australia Supercars, I had the opportunity to stay in Queensland for two race meetings at Queensland Raceway.

Having just gotten back from a couple of trips down to Victoria with the Supercars at Winton Raceway and the Shannons Nationals at Phillip Island. It was time to head back down to Benalla, in regional Victoria for the third round of the Shannons Nationals at Winton.

Well what a year that was… I’ve been lucky to attend some really top quality motorsport events throughout 2015. I’ve captured plenty of on track action and off track emotion.
